Influence in Media "Media Reinforcement theory"

In this post I will be discussing the media reinforcement theory. This theory suggest that the media is not responsible for establishing or changing the beliefs of people. The theory says that media can only further support your personal opinions. The media viewpoint will be used as people support when explaining there side or the media can give people evidence. Most of the times people's viewpoint are already established before they read the magazine and the magazine "reinforces" there opinion. For my magazine the player or team that I write my magazine on will help people support there opinion on the team or person. For example if I right about the MLB (major league baseball) team, the Astros and about how they "cheated" to win the World Series then I will have an audience who dislikes this particular baseball team and the magazine purpose will not establish anyone's opinion but will instead further support there opinion.
